Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
This policy explains how Vacancy — Personal Space Cleanup for Confluence ("Vacancy", "the app"), provided by Kenan İslamoğlu ("we"), handles data.
Summary
- Vacancy runs entirely on Atlassian's Forge platform and makes no calls to any server outside Atlassian.
- Vacancy stores no names, no space keys and no content. It keeps a small amount of operational data in Atlassian's Forge storage (listed below).
- No analytics, no tracking, no cookies. We, the developer, cannot see your Confluence data.
What the app reads and changes
When an administrator uses the app, it reads, through Confluence's APIs: the personal spaces, their pages and blog posts with version numbers and dates, whether pages have attachments, comments or other items, the owners' display names and account status (active, deactivated, deleted), and whether the signed-in user is a Confluence administrator. This is processed in memory and shown only to that administrator; it is discarded when the request ends. When an administrator confirms (or the daily rule they saved runs), the app archives personal spaces; an administrator can restore them.
What the app stores (Forge storage, inside Atlassian)
- The daily rule an administrator saved (on/off and numbers of days).
- Progress of the running job (space IDs).
- For the last 30 runs: date, who started it (an administrator or the daily rule), counts, and a report of space IDs with what was done and why. Space IDs are Confluence's numeric IDs; personal space keys (which contain the owner's account ID) and names are not stored — the report looks them up in Confluence when it is opened.
This data is deleted when the app is uninstalled, as Forge does for all apps.
Permissions requested: read:space:confluence (list personal spaces), read:page:confluence and read:blogpost:confluence
(count content, last change), read:attachment:confluence, read:comment:confluence and
read:hierarchical-content:confluence (the "untouched" check: attachments, comments, whiteboards and other items),
write:confluence-space (archive and restore spaces), read:confluence-user (administrator check and owner account
status), storage:app (rule settings and run history). The app does not request email addresses or access to other products.
Where data is processed
All processing and storage happen inside Atlassian's cloud, where Atlassian runs your site and Forge apps. No data is transferred to us or to third parties.
Support requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it only to answer you, keep it no longer than needed (at most 24 months), and never sell or share it. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
The app stores no personal data. For data held in Confluence, contact your site administrator or Atlassian. Questions about this policy: vacancy@kenanislamoglu.com.
Changes
We will update this page and its date if the app's data handling changes.
